Lighting

Click Here to download a Lighting Order Form. You can fill out this form using Adobe Acrobat, or simply print it, fill it out by hand, and mail or fax it to us.

1. Choose your luminaire (aka "fixture" or "light").

2. Choose your options. Not all luminaires are offered with all (or any) options. Look for thesymbol to see if you have choices. Common options are:

  • Base material (recycled aluminum, bronze, stainless, etc.)
  • Metal finish (natural River Rock aluminum, oil-rubbed bronze, artist patina, etc.)
  • Lens/shade material (glass, mica, plastic, etc.)
  • Lens/shade color (white or amber, etc.)
  • Lamp type (incandescent, fluorescent, halide, etc.)
  • Voltage (120v or 277v)

3. Give this information to your retailer or design professional (or contact Eleek to find your nearest Eleek enabler).

4. If you have the choice between two or more lamping options, you will want to consider the following points:

  • Fluorescent is the most energy-efficient lamping option commonly used in architectural lighting. That is, it provides the most light (lumens) per watt of electricity. The most energy-efficient type of fluorescent lamping is the combination of a 4-pin lamp with a high performance electronic ballast. While the quality of fluorescent lighting is getting better, it still can't hold a candle to incandescent lighting when it comes to warmth and flattery. When you select your lamp model (within Eleek's specifications for your fixture, of course) you may have choices of color spectrum and/or efficiency. Some Eleek fixtures are designed to help offset the coolness of fluorescent lamping with the use of warm lens or shade colors. If you want advice on how to make fluorescent lamping work for your project, please ask us. Fluorescent lamps have significantly longer lives than standard incandescent bulbs.
  • Metal halide is another form of energy efficient lamping that gives off large amounts of light and, unlike fluorescent lamping, its efficiency is not affected by changes in temperature. It is especially well suited to larger exterior fixtures where high light output is needed. Ceramic metal halide lamps are up to three times as efficient as standard incandescent lamps and last up to five times longer.
  • Halogen is a form of incandescent lamping which is 33% more efficient than standard incandescent lamping. The lamps also last longer than standard incandescent bulbs.
  • Please note: Eleek luminaires do not come with lamping included. Read the specifications carefully to make sure you purchase the correct lamps. You may also order your lamping from Eleek directly. Just ask us for pricing when you place your order.

1. Create an exact template of your job. This can be a hand sketch or a computer design file as long as it's clear and accurate. (Hint: Do you plan to use a tile installer? If so, have him or her do the initial templating.) Give it to us via your retailer or design professional (or contact Eleek to find out about your nearest Eleek enabler). We will also need templates for any sinks, faucets, cooktops, etc. which we will be cutting around. We need to know where you want frontwrap and backsplash.

2. Indicate your desired spacing between tiles if other than 1/16"–1/8".

3. We will create a template showing all the cut lines (grout lines) and measurements and send it back for your approval.
